Deputy Minister Andries Nel to host Community Engagement Session with Elderly Persons in Mitchell’s Plain

Deputy Minister for Justice and Constitutional Development, Andries Nel, will on Thursday, 24 July 2025, host a community engagement session with elderly persons in Woodlands, Mitchell’s Plain, Western Cape Province.

The event forms part of the Department’s Nelson Mandela Month commemorative activities.

The session aims to raise awareness about government initiatives, services and legislation that safeguard and promote the rights and well-being of older persons.

It will also serve as a platform for elderly community members to engage directly with the Deputy Minister, government departments and other relevant stakeholders on matters affecting their lives.
