Minister Kubayi to deliver keynote address at International Association of Women Judges Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony

The Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mmamoloko Kubayi, will deliver the keynote address this evening, Friday, 11 April 2025, at the Biennial Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony of the International Association of Women Judges (IAWJ) Conference, currently taking place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC). The IAWJ Conference convenes women judges from across the globe to deliberate on key issues related to gender equality, judicial leadership, and the advancement of justice systems worldwide. Minister Kubayi’s address will highlight South Africa’s efforts in combating gender-based violence and femicide, in line with the overarching theme of the Conference.

The Minister will also reaffirm the country’s commitment to gender transformation within the judiciary and the broader justice sector, while emphasizing the pivotal role women play in upholding constitutional values and advancing human rights.
