The Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mmamoloko Kubayi, will deliver a keynote address at the G20 Anti-Corruption Working Group (ACWG) in Cape Town this evening, 03 March 2025. Established in 2010, the ACWG advises G20 Leaders on anti-corruption efforts, focusing on integrity and transparency in both the public and private sectors, bribery prevention, international cooperation, asset recovery, beneficial ownership transparency, vulnerable sectors, and capacity-building. Chaired by the G20 Presidency alongside a co-chair, the ACWG is co-led by South Africa and Brazil in 2025.
President Cyril Ramaphosa has appointed Special Investigating Unit (SIU) head, Adv. Andy Mothibi, as South Africa’s ACWG co-chair, alongside Brazil’s Mr. Marcelo Pontes Vianna, Secretary for Private Sector Integrity at the Office of the Comptroller General.
