Minister Lamola to host Imbizo in Bethlehem

The Minister of Justice and Correctional Services, Mr Ronald Lamola, will as part of Child Protection Month, host an imbizo with a focus on substance abuse and Gender Based Violence and Femicide (GBVF) in Bethlehem on 16 May 2024.

Bethlehem is one of the areas which have exponential rise in substance abuse, GBV related offences and other social ills. The imbizo forms part of Departmental efforts to build partnerships with communities around the country to end substance abuse, GBV and all other social ills prevalent in communities.
The Minister will during the Imbizo, engage with residents of the Dihlabeng Local Municipality on how the criminal justice system functions and outline the role of each entity/department within the Justice, Crime Prevention and Security Cluster (JCPS cluster).
