Deputy Minister Jeffery to host a dialogue with the Diepsloot Community in commemoration of Africa Month

The Deputy Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mr John Jeffery, will on Tuesday 31 May 2022, deliver a keynote address at a Community Dialogue to commemorate Africa Month in Diepsloot. The dialogue will take place under the Africa month theme: “Africa Unite – towards building a society free from all forms of intolerances”.

The dialogue will focus on the promotion of community cohesion and harmony in the aftermath of violent tensions between South Africans and foreign nationals. The department, as the custodian of the National Action Plan (NAP) to combat Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and other Related Intolerances, has a mandate to educate citizens about their constitutional rights and upholding the rule of law.
