Justice services restored at the Rustenburg Magistrates’ Court

22 March 2022

The Department of Justice and Constitutional Department (DOJ&CD) and the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure (DPWI) are pleased to announce that justice services have been restored at Rustenburg Magistrates’ Court with immediate effect. This follows the temporary closure of part of the Court building that took place due to health hazard concerns.

The resumption came as a result of the DOJ&CD working very closely with the DPWI in ensuring that the concerns were speedily attended to. The Departments will continue to work closely to ensure that occupational health and safety standards are fully met in all departmental buildings.

The Departments jointly apologise for any inconvenience suffered by court users during the partial closure of the court building and remain committed to providing access to justice for all.
