Minister Lamola to deliver the opening address at the Law Society of South Africa's Conference

The Minister of Justice and Correctional Services, Ronald Lamola, will tomorrow, Wednesday, 23 March 2022, deliver the opening address at the Law Society of South Africa (LSSA) Conference to be held in Kempton Park, Ekurhuleni.

Observed under the theme ‘The Rule of Law and the role of legal practitioners in combating corruption’, the conference will be preceded by the LSSA Annual General Meeting in the morning in which attorneys will elect their national office bearers.

The rest of the engagements will revolve around the role of the LSSA and its future trajectory, assistance to attorneys and provincial associations aimed at advancing as well as resolving member’s practice issues and concerns.

The LSSA consists of the Black Lawyers Association, National Association of Democratic Lawyers as well as Provincial Attorney’s Associations and seeks to represent the attorney’s profession while further safeguarding the rule of law via efficient and fair administration of justice.
