26 February 2020

The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development will, on 28 February 2020, host an Under-the-Tree Dialogue for men and boys in Thabong, Welkom.

Under-the-Tree Dialogues are undertaken across the country to vigorously engage with men and boys with an intention to change patriarchal attitudes and beliefs which tend to contribute to gender inequality – a factor which contributes towards gender-based violence and femicide (GBVF).

The dialogues form part of the Department’s programme to respond to Government’s National Emergency Response Plan to GBVF, as announced by President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Members of the media are invited as follows:

Date    : 28 February 2019
