27 January 2020
The Deputy Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mr John Jeffery, MP, will address inter-governmental stakeholders on the National Action Plan to Combat Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance (NAP) on 28 January 2020 in Centurion.
The NAP was approved by Cabinet, and officially launched, in 2019. In a country where, 25 years of democracy, many people still experience racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and other forms of intolerance, it is crucial that government now cements the necessary steps and actions for implementation of the NAP.
This workshop is a critical step towards actualising the implementation of the NAP. It is expected to further detail the various commitments and activities of each government department and its related entities, in the roll-out of the plan.
