Minister Masutha strengthens ties with Vietnam Justice Ministry

The Minister of Justice and Correctional Services, Advocate Michael Masutha has concluded a productive meeting with Deputy Minister of Justice of Vietnam, His Excellency, Le Tien Chau where the two countries sought to strengthen their working relations.

Minister Masutha and Le Tien Chau negotiated the Extradition and Mutual Legal Assistance Treaties as well as the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Cooperation in Legal and Judicial Fields. These instruments, after signing and ratification in the near future, will form the basis of the fight against crime and organised crime in both countries and will assist in the exchange of information and technical experience.

The Ministry of Justice and Correctional Services reaffirms its commitment to uphold and respect all international treaties in a fight against all forms of crime in South Africa and around the world.
