Minister Masutha to host a dialogue with women survivors of Gender-Based Violence

The Minister of Justice and Correctional Services, Adv. Michael Masutha, will host a dialogue with women survivors of abuse at a safety shelter in Simunye Township, Westonaria on Monday, 22 August 2016.

The dialogue forms part of the Department’s Women’s Month commemorations and aims is to create an opportunity for women survivors of abuse to share their experiences and to suggest possible support mechanisms that the Department should consider for victims.

The dialogue hosted in partnership with the National Shelter Movement of South Africa, an umbrella organization for all shelters in the country.

The shelters accommodate women and children who are victims of trafficking, abuse and poverty.
