President Zuma signs proclamation on the amendment of the Terms of Reference on the Commission of Inquiry into Higher Education and Training

President Jacob Zuma has amended the Terms of Reference of the Commission of Inquiry into Higher Education and Training by extending the period upon which the Commission should complete its work.

The President had appointed the Commission in January this year, with an expectation to complete its task within eight months.

The Commission will now complete its work by the 30 June 2017. The extension was done on the request of the Chairperson the Commission, Justice Heher.

The Commission is expected to submit a preliminary report to the President on or before 15 November 2016.
