As part of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Constitution, Deputy Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mr John Jeffery, MP will have a dialogue with the community of Lusikisiki on the importance of the Constitution on Friday, 03 June 2016 at Department of Education College, Eastern Cape Province. The dialogue is organised in partnership with the Department, Foundation for Human Rights as well as civil society organisations.
The main aim of this dialogue is to promote awareness of constitutional rights and encourage marginalized and vulnerable communities to use their rights to enhance their livelihood.
This dialogue is in line with Socio Economic Rights For All Programme, popularly known as Amarightza, which was launched in 2014 to ensure raise awareness of constitutional rights.
It is envisaged that after this dialogue, the community of Lusikisiki will know more about the Constitution and understand its role in our constitutional democracy.
