Deputy Minister Jeffery to address a Summit on Briefing Patterns in the Legal Profession

The Deputy Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mr John Jeffery, MP will address and participate in a Summit on Briefing Patterns in the Legal Profession on Thursday, 31 March 2016 at Emperors Palace Convention Centre, Kempton Park.

During the Summit there will be robust discussions around the equal distribution of legal work to attorneys, challenges faced by advocates and counsel in the execution of their work amongst others.

Its aim is to bring together various stakeholders such as legal practitioners, consumers of legal services, government and regulatory bodies of different industries.  It is envisaged that the summit will come up with practical recommendations and solutions as well as mechanism for implementation, monitoring and evaluation.

Director-General, Ms Nonkululeko Sindane will also be in attendance as well as Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court, Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng, representatives from the legal profession, public and private sector.
