Minister Masutha to officially open Africa Regional Seminar on sexual orientation based violence

The Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development Adv. Michael Masutha, MP, will officially open a three-day regional seminar on Thursday, 03 March 2016 at the Premier Hotel in Kempton Park, Gauteng.

Several dignitaries including the Chairperson of the African Union Commission Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, the former President of Mozambique, Honourable Joaquim Chissano, the Deputy Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development Mr. John Jeffery, MP and the Chairperson of the South African Human Rights Commission Lawrence Mushwana will participate in the seminar. The seminar is being hosted by the South African Human Rights Commission and aims to find practical solutions to address violence and discrimination perpetrated on the bases of sexual orientation, gender identity and expression.
