Deputy Minister John Jeffery, MP, will address the Learners Dialogue on Constitutional Education in Howick, Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal

The Deputy Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mr John Jeffery, MP will address the Learners Dialogue on Constitutional Education in Howick, Pietermaritzburg on Tuesday, 17 April 2018.

The event, which is to be attended by Grade 10-12 secondary school learners and teachers, forms part of the Department’s Freedom Month celebrations, as well as part of commemorating the year of President Nelson Mandela.  

The learners will deliberate on, among others, the values of human rights as enshrined in the Constitution and how human rights have an impact on their daily lives. Prior to the dialogue, participants will be taken on an educational tour of the Nelson Mandela capture site in Howick. The event will also be attended by Acting Regional Head of the Department in KwaZulu-Natal, Ms Pat Moodley, and other dignitaries.
