Deputy Minister Jeffery to have a dialogue with parents at the commemoration of International Day of Families

The Deputy Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development Mr. John Jeffery, MP, will lead a dialogue with parents at the departmental commemoration of International Day of Families Event in Soshanguve. The international Day of Families is commemorated annually on 15 May to celebrate the importance of families and raise awareness about harmful effects of child abductions and the significance of co-parenting.

This dialogue seeks to encourage fathers’ involvement in the upbringing and nurturing of their children and to highlight child’s right to parental care in terms of the Constitution of South Africa and the Children’s Act.
