Deputy Minister Jeffery to deliver Key Note Address at the first national conference on Paralegalism

The Deputy Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mr. John Jeffery, MP, will deliver a keynote address at the first national conference on paralegalism to be held in Pretoria on Monday, 23 February 2015. The purpose of this conference is to promote the recognition of the paralegals in our society and to establish working relationship through which the paralegals will assist in providing legal services and enhancing access to justice to the poor and marginalized communities.

The deliberations of the conference will include the challenges faced when seeking to include paralegals in legal aid legislation to ensure access to justice in developing countries.
